Tracey Preston
Tracey has worked in the television industry as a news and current affairs reporter for the past fifteen years; she has reported on stories both nationally and internationally. Tracey’s career began in Wagga
where she gained a cadetship as a news journalist at RVN2. She then worked for WIN TV in Wollongong as a newsreader and station promo reader and later for Channel 9 in Perth where her on camera work included
reading day and evening news bulletins, cohosting chat shows and “one off” special media events.
From Perth,Tracey moved home to Sydney where she was a reporter for SBS. It was then on to Channel 9 as a newsreader, reading news updates and filling in for Ian Ross on the Today Show and reporting on the
lifestyle show Sydney Extra.
Tracey’s work over the years has enabled her to meet and interview people from all walks of life..celebrities (Phyllis Diller, Amande Asante..),politicians..sports stars and notorious criminals.
Tracey has worked for Channel 7 as a reporter for Seven Nightly News and Today Tonight. A career highlight involved a story “Cricket Legends Help Save The Black Rhino”..Tracey accompanied Alan Border, Carl
Rackerman and David Gower on a bush walk through the wild terrain of Matusadona National Park in Zimbabwe to uncover the latest plight to save the black rhino from oblivion.
Tracey’s experience in the television industry has also been recognized in the corporate video field. She was chosen by City Rail to present their wage restructuring video and has also presented corporate
videos for AMP, QANTAS, AMWAY,KFC ,WESTPAC AND PZIFER. Tracey was also chosen to present Police TV News, broadcast to police stations throughout NSW.
