Colette Werden

Presenter

Having studied PR/Marketing and Journalism, Colette Werden was determined to take over the Marketing world, heading the PR/Marketing department at Alannah Hill among many. That was until she discovered the world of TV presenting. And it all began with the cliché line at a job interview – ‘have you ever done any TV presenting before?’

Colette leaped into C31, presenting on a record number of eight shows in a year, becoming a respected and well known face of the community television station. This was her experimental ground, working on a range of shows, including news reading, music and variety, to learn that lifestyle and light entertainment were the avenues she wanted to pursue.

Through C31, the prospects rolled her way. Among many, an opportunity to host Wakelife (a wakeboarding show) on Fuel TV and a role as resident presenter for a Melbourne production company, Coothwork. This involved presenting content for major events including the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, TV Week Logie Awards, International Melbourne Motor Show and the World Youth Day ceremonies, amongst a vast list.

Her interest in people and their stories shone through and the mixture of sincerity and charm in her personality built great rapport with interviewees and audiences.

Colette jumped at a chance to report on Citylife, a lifestyle program on Foxtel’s Aurora channel – a show that explores Australia’s restaurants, resorts and events. Assistant producing and presenting content across the country, the travel and adventure has Colette captivated, currently working on season five of the successful show. Future season of which will be pitched to the Lifestyle Channel.

Alongside this, filming has just finished for a pilot for network TV – the Weekly G – of which she is Health and Beauty presenter (being pitched in October 09). And, Colette will resume hosting Wakelife on Fuel TV for its next season.

Colette also teaches the TV presenting classes at the Suzan Johnston Organisation in Melbourne and is currently studying a Bachelor in Media (Producing, Screen writing and the TV industry).

Charismatic and warm, Colette charms audiences with her authenticity and enthusiasm. A face to watch out for, as she sets her eyes on network TV.

Travels from Melbourne.
