CSU Staff Newsletter - The Good Word

The “good word” on the craft of writing was revealed to the people of Albury-Wodonga when two accomplished writers visited the Albury-Wodonga Campus on 10 September. Author of the compelling autobiography White Butterflies, Colin McPhedran, joined screenwriter Stephanie Dickson to present and talk about their work in a public event on the Albury City Campus. The evening was hosted by the Albury chapter of the Booranga Writers' Centre at CSU. In White Butterflies, Colin McPhedran describes his struggle for survival, from his flight as a boy from his birth place, Burma, to India during World War II. He also recounts his experiences in Britain and Australia. Ms Dickson, who is writing two scripts in Wagga Wagga, presented her experiences working in film and television.
